It is on this patio that the residents of Club Marena enjoy a scheduled Saturday social hour to relish the setting sun off Calafia point and enjoy cocktails and aperitivos while discussing the quality of life they all enjoy on this idyllic portion of the pacific coast. In the background surfers take advantage of some of the coasts finest waves and provide yet another point of entertainment for the parties’ participants. A typical gathering would have Local wines from the Valle de Guadelupe paired with fresh Mexican pannela cheese and tropical fruits from the local markets. Topics of discussion ranch from critique of the current vinicultural offerings to embellishment of the days catch from one of the resident fisherman. Regardless of the topic it is accompanied by a gleeful tone and knowing smiles that come with the mutual recognition between Marena members.
It is a relaxing, welcoming and friendly fiesta, with the warmth of the pacific sunset, which serves to revive, rejuvenate and coalesce the members of Club Marena. It is typical of the rhythm and sensation of life at pace that is indigenous to the Baja lifestyle.
